The other day we were out for our normal evening walk and while being pushed along in his buggy Elijah was intently studying his hand while rotating it and opening and closing his fingers.
Today he was looking at me through a tiny mirror in the front of his book and the peared around the side of the book to see if I was behind the book.
His chatting is never ending and getting more and more varied.
You can see his excitement when handing him something new that he has not held or looked at - be it a electrical connection block, spanner, brush, measuring spoons. Each time he is handed something new he spends the time turning it round in his hands inevitably it ends up for a period in his mouth. It is beautiful to watch.
The old favourites of his best friends the trees still captivate him although now he is reaching out to fill the leaves.
